Growing From Mothers Milk
to Choice Cuts of Lamb
Foundation of the Word (Scriptures):
Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: For he is a babe.
Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Genesis 21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned: And Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.
Genesis 21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.
Galatians 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Galatians 4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Galatians 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

Every person who is born into the Kingdom of God must start from the beginning of the Word , which is Salvation. They must come to the faith and knowledge of what salvation is, and what sin in their life they must overcome , before any growth does take place in their lives. This is called the Milk of the Word , according to Apostle Paul. Anyone who is saved by the Grace of God, but who are still in some type of bondage, such as depending upon this world , such as the government, to meet your needs, is still babes in Christ and are unskillful when it comes to their Christian walk. If they have any type of sin in their lives that they are in bondage to, such as tobacco, alcohol, anger, lust or any thing that rules their lives other than Jesus.
Those who can discern between good and evil , are those who are skillful in the Word of God. They no longer use milk, but Strong Meat of the Word. These are the ones who have overcome sin, the flesh and this world and are no more in bondage to them. These are the ones who God can use to teach others, and whom you see the power of God in their lives.
When Isaac was weaned from his mother, it is written that his father had made a great feast for the occasion. In the Jewish traditions, a child would feed on breast milk until the child was about four years of age. And until the child was weaned from feeding this way, he had to stay with the mother at all times. So when a child ( a male child ) was weaned from his mother, a feast of celebration would take place, because it meant , from that day forward the child would be free to go into the field or into the pasture with the father where his father worked. He would began to learn the trade of whatever his father did. And in doing so would one day inherit whatsoever belongs to the father. So the celebration denoted growth, unto the child.
There will be a time in a Christians life that, he or she, must grow and no longer depend upon the church to keep them from harm. Although the Church will always be there to feed them, just like a mother and wife feeds her husband and children after a hard day of work or school, she will no longer feed that child milk but strong meat so the child may grow and be healthy. Too many Christians are dependent upon the church to keep them saved. To keep them from falling into the snare of the devil. When in fact they should be growing to adulthood to where they themselves become teachers leading others to salvation and to the knowledge of God.
Salvation is one thing, but when a person begins to apply the Word of God into their lives such as , denying yourself and this world to follow Jesus as written in Matthew 16:24 or to seek wealth for other people and not yourself as stated in 1 Corinthians 10:24 or when you quit certain jobs because it don't line up with God's Word or even paying tithes and offerings to the ones that God had chose for you to lead you as written in
Malachi 3:10 : Maybe God would have you stay away from certain sinners as written in
2 Corinthians 6:14 or stay away from certain family members as written in
Matthew 19:29 : Whatever it might be that you are doing because of the Word of God , that goes against what this world believes; will cause people to mock and laugh and talk about you. When Issac was weaned from his mother, Ishmael; who was the son of the bonds woman; began to mock him. The people of this world are bound to the way this world does things. Ishmael represents this people, the way of the flesh. They live after the lusts of their flesh and what they see and feel and not after The Word of God. And when they will see you going against the flesh and to follow after the Spirit , they will begin to mock you just like Ishmael began to mock Isaac. It is because the flesh cannot understand the things of the Spirit and they two, the flesh and the Spirit are at war against each other as written in Galatians 5:17 .
But if we overcome the flesh and not bow down, then we no longer are powerless against satan and the world and the flesh. Once we crucify our old desires and lusts on the cross with Jesus then the power of God will rest upon us. John 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. Jesus is the Lamb that we eat, He is the Word of God made flesh; John 1:14; If we eat this Word, then He promises us that we will be in Him and He will be in us. And He is life , peace and joy and all that God is; He is our strength and our power.
Then once we began to eat the strong meat of the Word we are no longer babes but become heirs with Jesus, which means that we have power with Jesus to do the will of the Father in Heaven. We have power over satan, to command him to take his hands out of our lives and upon our physical health and on our finances. We have power to command satan to take his hands out of your children's lives and spouses life. We have the power to come to the throne of God; where before we had no access to Him. We can now come to God and bring our petitions before the throne , knowing He will answer, because we are no longer strangers to Him , but we have become children unto Him who has made heaven and earth. We have all power that Jesus Has; Because Jesus now lives in us and we in Him.
So we should as Christians, begin to eat the strong meat of the Word and grow into adulthood and please our Father in Heaven.
